Villa Dahmar is a luxurious tranquil sanctuary in Southern Costa Rica, nestled in a tropical rainforest. The name of this luxury villa refers to a house of forest and sea. That name fits because you’ll enjoy views of the rainforest our to the Pacific Ocean. Located on five acres, this 3,000 square foot villa offers amenities such as a lush rainforest, a moon-shaped infinity pool, and a gourmet kitchen with seating for eight.
Villa Dahmar exudes a warm and spacious design, which is evident with the 12 to 18 foot ceilings in the entryway. Every room is decorated in colorful artwork, such as vivid Toucan birds or colorful butterflies. Pops of color add to the shades of cream and browns throughout the house.
Villa Dahmar features three bedrooms with three ensuite bathrooms. All of the bedrooms feature large windows and ceiling fans to circulate airflow better. The master suite is on the right side of the house. It features a king-sized bed with a wooden sleigh-style headboard. In addition, it features a table and chairs, two plush ottomans, and a large walk-in closet with a secured bodega. The master bath features both a walk-in shower with a bench and a Jacuzzi jetted tub, providing a spa-like atmosphere that is also practical. It also includes a closeted toilet and two granite sink basins. The other two bedrooms are located on the other side of the house and feature queen size beds. Those ensuite bathrooms also include granite countertops and white sink basins, as well as a glass walk-ink shower with a bench. There is also an office with a couch that folds out into a twin bed, perfect for a guest room. Villa Dahmar even includes a laundry and storage room to make things easier for you.
The open floor plan of the great room makes it easier to entertain guests or even watch your children while you are cooking dinner. The gourmet kitchen includes granite countertops, white appliances, and a kitchen island with barstool seating. The open floor plan leads into a wet bar and hi-top game table and a wooden dining table with seating for eight. The living room area includes two brown plush couches, a hand-crafted wooden coffee table, and a large entertainment center. The entertainment center features a 50” inch flat screen TV, a DVD player, and a Bluetooth stereo system, making it easy to relax and watch your favorite movies. The great room opens up and flows right outside into the outdoor patio and pool area.
In the outdoor entertaining area, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of a rainforest, surrounded by large trees and plants. The trees even serve as a backdrop for the moon-shaped infinity pool. In addition to the pool, the outdoor area features a covered awning that houses pool loungers and a patio table and chairs. This is the ideal spot to enjoy views of the Portalon Valley or the ever-changing mountain views. If you want to host a pool party, you’ve got plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ on-site. There is even a half-bathroom that opens up to the pool area, making it easier for guests to change.
One of the best things of this property is its’ location. The property is secured by a massive entry gate and fence. It’s adjacent to the Reserve, which guarantees that not only will you see lots of jungle, but different species of wildlife. The outdoor grounds have been landscaped by planting palms and ornamentals, creating a park-like atmosphere. The caretaker’s family lives nearby to assist with the landscaping and the upkeep of the house.
Villa Dahmar is located between Dominical town and Manual Antonio national park, allowing you access to numerous outdoor activities. Playa Dominical is known for some of the best surfing waves in the area. However, you’ll also find hiking trails and zipline courses that showcase the lush rain forest and abundance of wildlife. At Manual Antonio national park, you can hike different trails and spot creatures like the red-backed squirrel monkey or white-faced capuchin.
